ANNETTA FOSTER SANDERS
Funeral services for Annetta Foster Sanders of Morrow will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Big Cane Baptist Church in Big Cane with the Rev. Bob Braly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Mrs. Sanders, 84, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the St. Landry Extended Care in Opelousas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sanders; and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. O.Q. Foster, all of Morrow.
Survivors include her three daughters, Susan Riemer and husband Owen of Morrow; Dorothy Boger and husband William III of Alexandria, VA; and Linda Hallam and husband Steve of Gainesville, FL; her grandchildren, Captain Quincy Riemer, United States Marine Corps, and wife Daren of Swansboro, NC; Robin Riemer Smith and husband Kevin of Morrow; Katie Riemer Fontenot and husband Gabriel of Baton Rouge; Dallas Hallam and wife Michelle of Los Angeles, CA; Stephen F. Hallam of Des Moines, IA; and William IV and Wolf Boger of Alexandria, VA. Mrs. Sanders is also survived by her three great-grandchildren, Lola Annetta Fontenot, Jett Louis Smith, and Cash Owen Riemer.
Mrs. Sanders was born in Morrow in 1926 and graduated from Southwestern Louisiana Institute in Lafayette in 1946.
Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday and 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Memorial donations may be made to the Big Cane Baptist Church; the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home; or M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX.
