A Mass of Christian Burial for Andy Rivers will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with the Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino, V.G. officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Rivers, age 72 of Bunkie, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the Hessmer Nursing Home.

Mr. Rivers spent most of his life driving 18 wheelers cross country.  He was also a DJ at KSMB for some time.  Andy was a musician and loved to entertain.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Charles O., Sr. and Essie Louise Juneau Rivers; children, Zachary Shawn Rivers, Nicole Beridon and Justin Beridon.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Geraldine Will Rivers of Bunkie; children, Angela Tauzin, Adam Rivers and Jessica Moore; his brother, Charles O. Rivers, Jr. of Bunkie; sister, Ramona Rivers of Bunkie; and 6 grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
