A Mass of Christian Burial for Amanda Moore will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Morrow with the Rev. Michael Guidry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mrs. Moore, age 35 of Big Cane, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at her residence.

Amanda was a good and loving wife and mother. She always saw the good in everyone and was willing to help anybody that needed.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Hoover and Claudia Fisher; and her maternal grandparents, Emil and Evelyn Veillon.

Survivors include her husband of 11 years; Joshua Paul Moore of Big Cane; her son, Kade Joshua Moore of Big Cane; her daughter, Emma Marie Moore of Big Cane; her parents, Ernest and Jeanette Whitacre of Big Cane; her brother, Adam James Whitacre of Mansfield, TX; her father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Patricia Moore of Cottonport; a brother-in-law, Christopher Paul Moore of Cottonport; a niece and nephew, Cheyenne and Logan Moore; and her Godchild, Peyton Fontenot.

Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight on Monday, with a rosary being cited by Rev. Bartholomew Ibe at 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
