A Mass of Christian Burial for Alton Daigrepont was held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin Rodriguez officiating.  Burial followed in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery.  Arrangements were under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Daigrepont, age 94 of Hessmer, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his residence.

He Graduated from Hessmer High School in 1944 and worked for Blotner Brothers all his life in Alexandria and resided there.  In 2000 he moved back to Hessmer.  He was known to remember dates of births, deaths, anniversaries and all family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Marie Daigrepont; his sisters, Irma Ducote, Zilda Normand, Blanche Guillory and Lena Guillory; and his brothers, Leedley, George, Elie, Royal, Loney and Maurice Daigrepont.

Survivors include many many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
