Services celebrating the life of Alison Beaver will be held at 11 o'clock am at Trinity Episcopal Church, Cheneyville, Louisiana on Saturday October 28, 2023. Rev. Andre Bordelon will officiate. Interment will follow at Trinity Episcopal Cemetery, Cheneyville, Louisiana. Visitation will be held from 9 o'clock am until time of service. Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
Alison Marie Beaver, 47, of Cheneyville, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. She is preceded in death by her mother, Paula Marie Van Hoof Beaver, her grandparents, Louis E. "Buddy" Van Hoof and Betty J. Andries Van Hoof, and Edward Morrison Beaver, Sr. and Elsie Mae Barnidge Beaver, and uncles, Glenn David Van Hoof and Edward M. Beaver, Jr.
Alison was a lifetime resident of the town of Cheneyville, where she was surrounded by family with deep roots in the community. She was a graduate of Rapides High School and obtained an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from LSUA. She enjoyed clerical and administrative work before retiring. She also enjoyed being at home, reading, watching movies and spending time with her closest friends, family and loved ones.
She is survived by her father, Alton W. Beaver, her paternal aunt, Shirley Beaver, of Cheneyville; her maternal uncles and aunts, Louis E. "Buddy" Van Hoof, III and his wife Cheryl of Woodworth, Ricky L. Van Hoof and his wife Susan, and James C. "Charlie" Van Hoof and his wife Kathy of LeCompte; and cousins, Edward Beaver, III, Vikki Beaver Wilder, Pamela Beaver Dawson, Stacey Beaver Burgess, Lisa Van Hoof Futch, Kristin Van Hoof Williams, Jeremy Van Hoof, Kimberly Van Hoof, Cynthia Van Hoof Dean, Katie Van Hoof, Jacob Van Hoof and Will Van Hoof. She is also survived by her fiancé, Albert Wall.
Pallbearers will be uncles, Louis E. "Buddy" Van Hoof, III, Ricky L. Van Hoof and James C. "Charlie" Van Hoof, and cousins, Gavin Beaver, Cannon Beaver and Breck Beaver.
The family wishes to extend a sincere Thank You to the staff of Ochsner Medical Center for the care and compassion shown to Alison.
The family requests memorials be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at www.mda.org; or to the charity of choice.
