A Mass of Christian Burial for Albert Bordelon will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church with Rev. Martin Laird officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Mr. Bordelon, age 82 of Plaucheville, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 in Pointe Coupee Parish.

He is preceded in death by his wife; Lorraine Mayeaux Bordelon; his parents, Alvin and Ruby Dauzat Bordelon; and siblings, Oris Bordelon, Marie B. Laborde, Luby B. Jeansonne and Anderson Bordelon.

Survivors include his sons, Albert J. Bordelon, Jr. (Mary) of Baton Rouge, Lionel M. Bordelon (Debbie) of Goudeau and Randall J. Bordelon (Pamela) of Plaucheville; his brothers, Alvin P. Bordelon, Jr. (Lucille) of Walker and William "Bill" Bordelon (Glenda) of Gonzales; his sister, Helen B. Cazelot of Plaucheville; grandchildren, Andrew Bordelon, Lauren Bordelon and Leslie Bordelon; and great-grandchildren, Kiyahh and Kristopher'kaynee.

Friends may visit on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville.  A rosary will be recited on Friday at 7:00 p.m.
