A Mass of Christian Burial for Adrian Bryant will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Scott Chemino officiating.  Burial will follow in the Vernon Family Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.

Adrian, age 14 of Bunkie, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Bunkie General Hospital.

Adrian attended St. Anthony Catholic School for 8 years and most recently was a student at Bunkie High School.  He loved playing baseball, enjoyed many outdoor activities especially fishing, and also loved playing video games.  He had the sweetest personality and disposition and was an exceptionally loving brother to his little sister.

Survivors include his mother; Joy "Katie" Vernon of Bunkie; his father, Cory Gifford of Bunkie; a brother, Joshua Kellon Bryant and sister, Ava Lesley Gifford; his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Angie Vernon of Bunkie and Deidre and Kai DenBleyker of Moss Point, MS; paternal grandparents, Wanda Dean Bryant and Forrest Bryant; and his uncles, Charlie Matthew Vernon, II (Mary), Joseph Clifton Vernon (Kristen), Darryl Lewis Vernon, James Caleb Vernon and Aaron Thomas Vernon.

Friends may visit on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Bunkie.
